The cottage is located in a small hameau in idyllic countryside. It is south facing - as is the garden - and has plenty of light. The garden and terrace is a sheltered sun trap. The house is on a small, quiet, very safe road. You can walk out of the gate and be in superb countryside for walking, cycling, etc, immediately. A 1km walk and you're at a country restaurant/bar. Rodez airport (Ryanair) is 50 mins-1 hour away, Toulouse is 1.5 hours away (Easyjet, BA, Flybe, BMiBaby, Air France, etc).

Recently renovated stone cottage with separate stone studio house in garden (included in the rental and exclusively yours during your stay). Upstairs in the main house there are 2 bedrooms (1 double, 1 twin) plus a shower and toilet. In the single-storey studio there is a double bed, bathroom and toilet. Downstairs in the main house there is a large open-plan kitchen/living room/dining room. The kitchen is equipped with cooker, fridge, crockery and cutlery. In the living room area there is a wood burner, antique pine and oak furniture, 2 sofas (one is a sofabed), leather armchairs and a television.

Places of Interest

Lots to do nearby. A short walk away (1km), there's a bar/restaurant with a good sized swimming pool (open at bar owner's discretion). Elsewhere for example, you can swim or go canoeing on the River Averyron (canoes easily and cheaply hired nearby), cycling through forests and car-free tracks (bike hire in St Antonin). The region is a walker's paradise (beginning right outside your front gate which leads into pine and oak forests), horse riding (stables, lessons, etc, nearby), fishing (holiday permits can be bought locally), swimming (in open-air public pools in St Antonin and Caylus, as well as lakes and clean river swimming nearby too), tennis (courts can be hired at good rates), and of course there is plenty of eating out in excellent restaurants. Of the nearby villages, St Antonin Noble Val is beautifully situated on the river against the white cliffs of the Gorges de l'Aveyron and has a well known Sunday morning market where you can buy local produce (arts, craft, and food), and has a number of restaurants, canoeing, swimming pool, tennis, etc. The spectacular medieval, hilltop village of Cordes sur Ciel is a magnificent sight and a great place to view the surrounding countryside. Elegant Albi (with the Toulouse Lautrec museum and cathedral), Parisot (with lake and excellent carp fishing), Caylus (also with lake for swimming, walking), Villefranche de Rouergue (cathedral, market, etc), Caussade, etc, etc.
